A new report from trusted Nintendo insider Nash Weedle suggests that MercurySteam is working on a remake of the classic 1994 game, Super Metroid, and could announce it this year. Metroid fans will likely know MercurySteam – a Spanish studio – as they’ve previously contributed to the series, most recently co-developing 2017’s Metroid: Samus Returns for the 3DS and 2021’s Metroid Dread for the Nintendo Switch. The studio has been operating since 2002.

God of War Studio’s New Franchise to Have Faye as Protagonist, Combat Close to Devil May Cry – Rumor

The new game features Faye as the main character, a decision made by NateTheHate. He anticipates a faster-paced, more action-focused experience, diverging from the previous God of War games set in Norse mythology. Shpeshal Nick has added that the gameplay will feel more like Capcom’s Devil May Cry series than either God of War (2018) or God of War Ragnarök.
