I enjoyed Ghost of Yotei when it came out, but I was really looking forward to Onimusha: The Way of the Sword. The Onimusha series is known for its fast-paced, skillful samurai combat, and this new game seems like a fantastic return to that style. Instead of making a huge open world, which could have weakened the experience, Way of the Sword looks like it will focus on quick action, challenging fights, and a carefully designed structure. If Capcom delivers on its promises, this could be the best Onimusha game yet.

Let’s talk about the 1998 blockbuster, Armageddon. Directed by action specialist Michael Bay, the film centers around a team of rough-and-tumble, experienced oil drillers who are unexpectedly recruited by NASA. Their mission? To prevent a giant asteroid from hitting Earth. NASA’s plan is daring: send the drillers to bore a hole deep into the asteroid and plant a nuclear bomb to destroy it before impact. The movie boasts a fantastic cast, including Bruce Willis, Billy Bob Thornton, Liv Tyler, Ben Affleck, Will Patton, Peter Stomare, Keith David, Owen Wilson, William Fichtner, and Steve Buscemi.

I was chatting with Goddard recently about his upcoming film, Project Hail Mary, which comes out March 20th, and he gave me an update on The Matrix 5. He confirmed it’s still happening, but clarified that ‘in the works’ really just means he’s still writing the script. He doesn’t have a timeline for when it will be finished, so it’s definitely still a ways off!

Despite all the progress, the Wonder Man series nearly didn’t happen. According to head writer Andrew Guest, Marvel considered canceling the show during the 2023 Hollywood strikes. Guest explained they barely made it through several difficult moments, and the show’s producers had to strongly advocate for its continuation when it was almost scrapped.

The official God of War X account shared a picture of Kratos and Atreus from the upcoming series. The post announced, “Father and Son. Here’s your first look at Kratos and Atreus in the God of War series coming to @primevideo. The popular manga series, The New Prince of Tennis (known internationally as The Prince of Tennis II), is nearing its conclusion with only six chapters remaining. Creator Takeshi Konomi announced the upcoming ending on social media, coinciding with the 17th anniversary of the sequel and the 27th anniversary of the original The Prince of Tennis.
