In the second season of Ahsoka, it is anticipated that Admiral Ackbar, possibly acting as a representative of the New Republic, will take the lead in fighting against a revived Grand Admiral Thrawn. The extent of Ackbar’s involvement beyond this point remains uncertain, but the return of this beloved character will see him back in action to counter the increasing Imperial threat during the Star Wars era of the New Republic.
