I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve watched this fantastic time travel movie! It still holds up incredibly well, feels like a classic, and I never tire of rewatching Marty McFly’s adventure. I’ve always been a fan of Michael J. Fox, and he’s utterly charming in this film.

Joseph Zada will return as Johnny Sinclair Dennis, and Emil Alyn Lind will reprise her role as Cadence Sinclair Eastman. According to Lockhart, Emily Alyn Lind and all the ‘wonderful mom actresses’ are back, along with Joseph Zada. However, Esther McGregor, who played Mirren Sinclair Sheffield in the first season, wasn’t mentioned.
Horror fans are still enjoying spooky season with Stanley Kubrick’s classic film, The Shining, which is currently a top 6 hit on HBO Max. Released in 1980, this adaptation of Stephen King’s novel is considered by many to be Kubrick’s finest work. Jack Nicholson delivers a memorable performance as Jack Torrance, a man who takes a winter job as caretaker at the isolated Overlook Hotel. Shelley Duvall shines as his wife, Wendy, and Danny Lloyd plays their son, Danny. The film follows their terrifying experiences as the hotel’s dark history begins to unravel.
Mike Pondsmith, a key figure behind the Cyberpunk world, has suggested that Keanu Reeves might return for the next Cyberpunk game. He responded to Reeves’ expressed desire to play Johnny Silverhand again, playfully hinting that he has ideas on how to make it happen, even though the character seemingly met his end in Cyberpunk 2077.
Rosario Dawson and Hayden Christensen recently filmed scenes for the second season of Ahsoka, playing their characters Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker. Dawson announced at Comic Con Scotland that they shot together just a week ago, and filming for the season is now complete.
Disney recently shared what looks like the first poster for Incredibles 3, but it’s a bit of a trick! The poster appeared as part of a promotional campaign for their upcoming movie, Zootopia 2. In a funny post on a fake movie-rating site (a spoof of Letterboxd), the character Judy Hopps lists her favorite films, and one of them is titled The Incredibulls 3.

According to director Kevin Smith, Ben Affleck nearly didn’t get the part of Shannon Hamilton in Mallrats. Producer James Jacks was hesitant to cast him because of some colorful language Affleck used while filming Dazed and Confused (1993), feeling Mallrats already had plenty of swearing. Smith shared what Jacks said about the situation.
Yorgos Lanthimos is releasing films at a rapid pace, with Bugonia being his third feature in three years, following Poor Things (2023) and Kinds of Kindness (2024). All three films star Emma Stone. Beyond consistent casting, Lanthimos is establishing a distinct filmmaking style, reminiscent of Stanley Kubrick. Bugonia especially highlights this style when compared to his previous work. Interestingly, Bugonia is a remake of the 2003 South Korean film Save The Green Planet!, which itself draws inspiration from 2001: A Space Odyssey to suggest that violence has always been a part of human development.
