Hero Fiennes Tiffin will play Sherlock Holmes in a new adaptation of the classic character created by Arthur Conan Doyle. He previously collaborated with the director on the film The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. The movie will also star Max Irons as Mycroft Holmes, Joseph Fiennes as Silas Holmes, Dónal Finn as Sherlock’s rival James Moriarty, Natascha McElhone as Sherlock’s mother, Cordelia, Zine Tseng as Chinese Princess Gulun Shou’an, and Colin Firth as Sir Bucephalus Hodge, a professor at Oxford.

For the past 13 years, Netflix has been the place to stream all fifteen seasons of Supernatural, including all 327 episodes. Even after the show ended in 2020, it remained available on the platform. However, subscribers recently saw a notice that the show would leave on December 17th, and as of December 18th, Supernatural is no longer available on Netflix.

The anime series Dandadan has been officially renewed for a third season! Along with the announcement, a new illustration featuring Momo Ayase, Ken “Okarun” Takakura, and Turbo Granny (in her doll form) was released. Unfortunately, fans will have to wait until 2027 to watch the new episodes.

The build-up to the film was almost as remarkable as the movie itself. In many ways, that initial excitement has been difficult for subsequent Star Wars films to recreate, and some fans may feel disappointed by that. While the quality of later films has varied, it’s been impossible to recapture the unique hype and instant impact of The Force Awakens, which effectively relaunched the Star Wars franchise – with both positive and negative consequences.

Disney purchased Lucasfilm for over $4 billion in 2012, and The Force Awakens marked the beginning of a new Star Wars era. It’s amazing to think it’s been 10 years since the film’s release. Looking back, I consider The Force Awakens to be a high point for the franchise under Disney’s ownership, and a time I’ll always cherish.
