I’m so excited! I just heard that Danny Dyer is apparently going to be on the next series of The Celebrity Traitors! They’re starting to pick contestants now, and it sounds like he’s definitely signed up. Can’t wait!
I was surprised to learn that Danny Dyer almost wasn’t in Strictly Come Dancing! Apparently, he initially said no to being on season one, but after watching a few episodes, he totally changed his mind. It’s great he did, I can’t imagine the show without him!
According to a source, Danny was always a prime candidate for The Celebrity Traitors, but he wasn’t interested in joining until he watched the show last fall and saw how much fun it was.
“As soon as his tune changed, it was all systems go.”
The BBC said they won’t be discussing rumors, but they will share information about the next season of The Celebrity Traitors when it’s ready.

Dyer previously participated in a comedic take on The Traitors for Comic Relief in 2023, so he’s familiar with the show’s format.
According to the source, Danny is perfect for reality TV – an ideal casting choice who will bring a lot to the show. He’s naturally humorous, but his comedic style is quite distinct from Alan Carr’s.
Show creators are looking for something fresh, and Danny seems like a perfect fit. While plans can always shift unexpectedly, as happened with Daisy May Cooper in the first series, everything currently points to Danny beginning filming in the Scottish Highlands later this year.
The BBC’s first season of The Celebrity Traitors was a huge hit, culminating in a series finale watched by an impressive 15 million viewers.
This series achieved the largest on-demand audience in the market within its first week, surpassing all previous records.
Soon after the latest season finished airing, the BBC announced the show would be back. A new report also showed that The Traitors – across its UK, US, and celebrity versions – has contributed an estimated £21.8 million to Scotland’s economy since filming started in 2022.
Hayley Valentine, head of BBC Scotland, stated that ‘The Traitors’ has been a huge hit on television, and they are thrilled to have several versions of the show filmed in Scotland. They fully support and applaud this.
This report shows how filming The Traitors in Scotland is directly boosting the economy. We’re working with our partners to build on this success and encourage long-term, responsible growth in Scotland’s creative sector.
