Chainsaw Man Volume 24 Confirms Extra Pages of Manga

Even though fans are excited about the recent announcement, the manga is still capturing a lot of attention.

It appears the final volume of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man manga will include 12 extra pages, suggesting a potential continuation of the series.

Even though fans shouldn’t get too hopeful about a potential Part 3, Volume 24 of Chainsaw Man offers some extra content that might help soften the blow of the manga’s ending.

Chainsaw Man’s Final Volume Has Multiple Unaccounted For Pages In Its Official Page Count

The website recently updated the information for the upcoming Chainsaw Man Volume 24, confirming it will have 176 pages. This is potentially 12 pages longer than previously estimated.

When Shueisha posted the page count for the latest volume, a popular fan on the Chainsaw Man wiki noticed something interesting. Their post about a possible “12 extra pages” quickly gained a lot of attention and sparked discussion among fans.

This idea stems from Eppy’s belief that the book should have been around 164 pages long, rather than the published 176. This makes sense. I previously estimated the core content would be about 159 pages, but that didn’t include things like blank pages, the cover, or the table of contents.

Considering the main story is 159 pages long, and adding in the title page, character profile, and a few blank pages between chapters, Eppy’s estimate of 164 pages is fairly accurate.

Recently, new volumes of Chainsaw Man have started on page 7 to include introductory pages, character information, and the table of contents. However, this volume begins with a full-page spread, so it should technically start on page 8. This would account for the first 7 pages, increasing the total page count from 159 to 166.

The book includes several blank pages: after chapters 228 and 230, and at the end of chapter 232, likely featuring a Pochita illustration. Plus, each volume traditionally ends with a playful “reading the wrong way” page. These additions bring the total page count to around 170.

This means pages 171 through 176 are missing or unexplained, leaving at least five extra, unaccounted-for pages in the final volume of Chainsaw Man. This was also confirmed by others.

Chainsaw Man’s Final Volume Still Has Room For a Part 3 Announcement

Despite a lengthy author’s note spanning two pages, there will still be three pages missing in the final volume of Chainsaw Man.

It would make sense for Fujimoto to add some extra illustrations to the collection, maybe even a full-page picture of the main characters – many manga artists do that. There’s also still space for one final, unexpected page of content.

I’m so hyped for the final volume! Fujimoto is a master of surprises, and I have a feeling he’s saving something huge for the very last page. Or, he might slip in an author’s note where we were expecting to see more Pochita, which would leave room for a whole extra chapter – maybe even a little epilogue! It’s killing me waiting to find out!

Chainsaw Man consistently keeps readers on the edge of their seats with unexpected twists, and that’s exactly what fans love about it. It seems the series will continue to deliver surprises right up to the very end.

Chainsaw Man Volume 24 is scheduled for release on June 4 in Japan.
