Chris Hemsworth Wants Thor and Storm Team-up With Halle Berry in Avengers: Secret Wars, “I’m Gonna Make Sure…”

The next Avengers movie, Doomsday, is shaping up to have a huge cast, bringing back characters from both the original Avengers films and the X-Men universe (now that Disney owns Fox). While many familiar faces are expected, Halle Berry, who played Storm, doesn’t seem to be included. However, Chris Hemsworth is still hoping for a team-up between his character, Thor, and Storm in a future movie, Avengers: Secret Wars.

While promoting their new thriller, Crime 101, Chris Hemsworth jokingly addressed the idea of a crossover with Halle Berry’s Storm, dismissing any potential rivalry. He actually expressed regret that Berry wasn’t in his film, Doomsday, and playfully invited her to join future projects, saying, “Everyone wants you in it… You’ve gotta come and just hang out with us. You’ve got to accept it. I’m inviting you.”

Halle Berry Should Absolutely Return For Avengers: Secret Wars

Halle Berry has talked before about potentially returning as Storm in Avengers: Doomsday, but has stated she won’t be in this particular film. She considers the character very meaningful to her, and while she’s not involved this time, she’s open to reprising the role in future installments, saying she’d do it immediately if asked.

With Berry expressing interest in returning and Hemsworth supporting her involvement in Secret Wars, the possibility of her appearing in the event is growing. Many fans believe Berry deserves a role, especially considering the success of the previous two films.

Halle Berry delivered some memorable performances as Storm in the older X-Men movies, and it’s exciting to think about what Marvel Studios and the Russo brothers could bring to the character now. The recent X-Men teaser showed us a Cyclops moment fans have wished for for years, proving they can deliver on beloved character requests – and that same potential definitely exists for Storm.

Just picture Storm, in her classic 1997 white and yellow outfit, flying into action and controlling the weather during a huge battle. Then, Thor arrives, and together they unleash an incredible lightning storm that obliterates their enemies. It would be an amazing scene, and it would give Halle Berry the opportunity to interact with a variety of other Marvel characters.

With the X-Men set to be reimagined in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there’s hope that the actors who played them in the Fox films – like Cyclops, Nightcrawler, and Mystique – will get one final appearance. If that happens, many fans, including myself, would love to see Halle Berry reprise her iconic role as Storm alongside them.

Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters on December 18th.
