Claudia Winkleman is starting a new hosting role shortly after leaving Strictly Come Dancing.
Tess Daly, who co-hosts the popular show The Traitors, revealed last year that she and her co-host will be leaving after the 2025 season concludes.
Claudia Winkleman will be co-hosting Crufts with Clare Balding when the popular dog show returns to Channel 4 in March.
Radzi Chinyanganya and Ellie Simmonds, familiar faces from previous Crufts broadcasts, will be back to report on the event this year.
Winkleman expressed her excitement, saying she loves dogs and feels right at home with the team. She’s thankful to Channel 4 for the opportunity and is even prepared with a pocket full of treats!
Clare Balding expressed her excitement about working with Claudia, calling her a wonderful addition to the team. She noted Claudia’s love of dogs and believes she’ll bring a lot of fun, intelligence, and style to the show.
Pete Andrews, Channel 4’s Head of Sport, said Crufts is a beloved event for their viewers. He described it as unique and expressed excitement about welcoming Claudia to their presenting team, enhancing their coverage of everything dog-related.

Claudia Winkleman is set to host a new BBC chat show, “The Claudia Winkleman Show,” starting in spring 2026. This was officially announced at the end of 2025.
Honestly, when I heard the news, I was floored! I’m so thankful to the BBC for taking a chance on me with this. I’m fully expecting to be terrible, let’s be real, but I’m absolutely thrilled they’re letting me give it a shot. It’s a dream come true, even if I completely mess it up!
Mel Giedroyc is now being considered as a potential replacement for Tess Daly on Strictly Come Dancing, adding to the growing speculation about who will host the show.
I’m hearing some interesting news – it sounds like the folks at ‘Strictly’ are considering Alex Giedroyc to potentially take over from Tess Winkleman! Apparently, they’re really looking at him for the job.
Crufts will air on Channel 4 and More4 from Thursday 5th March to Sunday 8th March.
