Code UltraViolet, A Sequel to Code Violet, Announced

TeamKill Media, the creators of Quantum Error, has announced they’re starting work on a sequel to their survival horror game, Code Violet. The new game, called Code UltraViolet, was revealed on X (formerly Twitter) with a logo and a glimpse of a character’s face. While details are still scarce, the studio confirmed that Violet Sinclair will once again be the main character.

TeamKill Media announced they’re working on several new projects and will share details soon. Following the positive reception to Code Violet, they’ve officially started developing the next installment in the series, titled Code UltraViolet, as shared on X (formerly Twitter).

It’s still unclear if Code UltraViolet will only be available on PS5, like the previous game, or if it will be released on other consoles as well.

I just started playing Code Violet on my PS5 – it came out last month! I’d actually heard about it way back in January 2025. It’s a third-person survival horror game where you play as Violet Sinclair. Basically, she’s stuck on this colony called Aion in the 25th century and things go crazy fast. She’s thrown into a bunch of conspiracies and has to unravel secrets while also trying to survive against…dinosaurs! It’s pretty wild.

Before its release, a nearly 20-minute gameplay trailer for Code Violet was shown in May. The trailer featured Violet battling through the Aion Bioengineering Complex and gave players a detailed look at various game elements, including fighting, puzzles, exploring, and managing items.

We rated this survival horror game a 3 out of 10. The biggest problems were the limited types of enemies, levels that felt too similar, frustrating camera work, and uninspired exploration and fighting. While the game looked and sounded good, it wasn’t enough to improve our overall impression.

TeamKill Media, the creators of Code Violet, previously released Quantum Error, a survival horror game set in 2109. In a world heavily reliant on artificial intelligence, players control Jacob Thomas when a Monad facility comes under attack and catches fire. TeamKill Media has announced they’re working on a sequel to their game, Quantum Error. They shared in March 2024 that this sequel is intended to be the first in a series of three games. The second game, called Quantum State, will be a story-driven, stealth-focused third-person shooter with a strong emphasis on cinematic presentation.

While continuing to work on larger projects, the developers have also created smaller games, including Son and Bone, which is launching in September 2024. In this game, players take on the role of Sheriff Sam Judge and will face off against dinosaurs like raptors, triceratops, and the T. Rex.
