
Jonny Campbell, a British director known for his work in Cold Storage, recently directed a film written by acclaimed screenwriter David Koepp. The movie, based on Koepp’s 2019 novel, uses a mix of modern and practical effects, including CGI, realistic makeup, and even puppets to bring the story to life.
Teacake and Naomi, working the night shift at a self-storage facility built on a former military base, face a terrifying ordeal when a long-contained parasitic fungus is unleashed. Sealed away by the government years ago, the fungus quickly spreads as the underground temperature rises, threatening everyone inside. With humanity on the brink, Teacake and Naomi must team up with a seasoned bioterrorism expert to stop the rapidly evolving threat and prevent a global catastrophe. Read our review HERE.
Joe Keery and Georgina Campbell star in the film, with surprising appearances from Liam Neeson, Lesley Manville, and especially Vanessa Redgrave. Director Jonny Campbell is known for his comedic work, including projects like ‘Phoenix Nights’, ‘Alien Autopsy’, ‘Dr Who’, and ‘Westworld’. The film will be available on all home entertainment formats from May 11th, 2026, and will include plenty of bonus content.
