The newest trailer for Control Resonant doesn’t just show what Dylan is thinking and remembering as he prepares to fight the force taking over Manhattan—it also gives a much broader view of the city itself, highlighting its strange and supernatural atmosphere, and hints at a new, dangerous threat.
At the very least, this game is a stunning example of Remedy Entertainment’s talent for creating immersive environments. You’ll explore the stark, brutalist hallways of the Oldest House, which open up into bizarre and unbelievable cityscapes. Expect to find many bodies – likely victims of the mysterious Hiss – and be prepared to face aggressive new enemies who won’t hesitate to attack.
Control Resonant is proving to be one of the most exciting games of the year, even though it has a lot going on. Players take on the role of Dylan, who can use a variety of skills and transform into different Aberrant forms to create a personalized gameplay experience. He’ll need to master these abilities to stand a chance against the Resonants, incredibly powerful and enigmatic supernatural beings.
Control Resonant will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC starting September 24th. While the Deluxe Edition costs $70, it only gives PlayStation players 48 hours of early access. The standard version of the game is available for $60.
