XSEED Games has decided not to release the Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack in western countries on the Nintendo Switch. They explained that some of the games included in the collection don’t meet the platform’s current content requirements.
The Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack was originally released on Nintendo Switch in Japan on August 7th and included English language options. The pack contains four games: the 2021 version of Corpse Party, Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, Corpse Party: Sweet Sachiko’s Hysteric Birthday Bash, and Corpse Party: Blood Drive.
Here is the full message from XSEED Games on the canceled release:
Corpse Party fans,
We understand many of you were excited about the Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack. Unfortunately, we’ve learned that some of the games included don’t meet the requirements for release on consoles and digital stores. Because of this, we’ve had to cancel the physical release of the Tetralogy Pack and also won’t be releasing the previously unavailable Corpse Party games that were part of it.
We’re sorry for any frustration or disappointment this has caused. We’re still working with MAGES. to release Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion in western regions and will share updates as soon as we can. Thank you for your patience and continued support of XSEED Games and the Corpse Party series.
