Players of Crimson Desert are still uncovering new gameplay features after spending over 200 hours with the game, highlighting its incredible depth and complexity. The open-world RPG boasts around 250 hours of core content, but that doesn’t include the time it takes to learn and master all of its intricate systems. Because you can complete the game without understanding everything, many features remain hidden, even for dedicated players who have invested hundreds of hours.
A popular post on the Crimson Desert Reddit page reveals a player only figured out how the “Focused Force Palm” skill works after 245 hours of gameplay. The post gained a lot of attention because many other players admitted they also didn’t understand the skill, even after playing for a significant amount of time.
“I Just Learned This”
Someone shared a humorous lesson learned after many hours of gameplay: “I feel silly admitting this, but it took me 245 hours to figure out how Focused Force Palm works!” They explained that after repeatedly being hit by bismuth walls, they finally realized you shouldn’t stand so close to them. They shared this tip hoping to save other players some health potions.
The guide explains that the ‘FFP’ move is performed at a distance. Holding down the R3 button expands the leaf symbols in the aiming reticle. To succeed, align one of these leaf symbols with the glowing orb on the wall and hold the button until you see a golden flash, indicating success. Many players, including those in the top comments, were unaware of this technique.
The most popular comment simply said, “186 hours, and I just learned that thanks to you!” Another user playfully added, “Wait, that’s how it works? I’m glad this was posted – it explains why I’m stuck as a statue against the wall!”
Honestly, reading that comment really hit me. Someone said they restarted the game after putting 300 hours into it, and they said it felt like a totally new experience because they knew what to expect! It just shows how much depth there is and how much you get out of it on a second playthrough.
Ever since Crimson Desert came out, I’ve been seeing tons of posts online about how amazing it is, and honestly, I don’t think that’s going to stop anytime soon. It’s just that immersive and detailed of a game!
