As an enthusiastic fan, I’m thrilled to share that Bloober Team’s upcoming survival horror masterpiece, “Cronos: The New Dawn,” promises a captivating blend of mystery and time-travel elements! One intriguing aspect is the core concept of obtaining the Essence of significant individuals on behalf of the Collective. In an exciting new interview with lead writer/narrative designer Grzegorz Like and producer Klaudia Sewera, we learned that players will have the power to decide whom to extract!
As you eliminate your objectives, they’ll meet painful fates (since you’re essentially stripping them of their core essence). However, the Essences provide unique advantages for those who appreciate a challenging gameplay experience. The nature of the Essence you gather can significantly alter your perspective on the entire game. This could be connected to the various endings, where the player has the power to determine which outcome is right or wrong.
Absolutely, there’s also an option called New Game+ that increases the game’s challenge level for those who are up for it. In a single playthrough, you might be able to collect everyone’s Essence, which could give you an advantage in the following game. Only time will reveal the benefits of this strategy.
On September 5th, the game “Cronos: The New Dawn” will be released for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. From August 20th to 24th, Gamescom attendees can try out a playable demo of the game.
