Fans are still waiting for news on the release date of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4, which will continue the thrilling Culling Game Arc – a battle royale where jujutsu sorcerers must fight for their survival. In the meantime, Crunchyroll has announced that Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory/Premature Death – The Movie is now available to stream. This movie retells the story of Satoru Gojo’s high school days, showcasing the origins of the most powerful sorcerer of today.
The movie first came out in Japan on May 30, 2025, and then in theaters worldwide that summer. Now, a year later, it’s available to stream globally with audio in Japanese, English, Spanish, and German. You can also watch it with subtitles in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, and Castilian Spanish. Plus, all three seasons of the anime series and the movie that came before it are also available to stream.
What Is Jujutsu Kaisen’s Hidden Inventory/Premature Death Arc So Loved Among Fans?

The story is well-known for its exciting, fast-paced action, but this sometimes means less focus on character development and lighter moments. Fans particularly enjoy the ‘Gojo’s Past’ arc, which delves into the characters’ personal growth, the pressures faced by the most powerful, and the pain of loss. Despite its bright and optimistic setting, the story also reveals the harsh realities of the Jujutsu world and how it affects young people.
The anime deepened the sense of sadness with small details in its visual storytelling, emphasizing how complicated the characters and their problems are. The story follows Satoru Gojo, a 17-year-old student at Jujutsu Tech High School, and his friend Suguru Geto, another incredibly powerful sorcerer. Together, they were known as an unbeatable pair, largely because sorcerers of their skill level are very uncommon.
The flashback reveals why these characters drifted apart, a key event in the previous film. Their friendship is heartbreaking because a single, devastating incident forced them onto different life paths. There was no repairing the damage, culminating in Gojo tragically having to kill his friend, as shown in the prequel.
What’s Next For Jujutsu Kaisen?

After the main Jujutsu Kaisen story finished, a follow-up manga called Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo was published and recently concluded in March. While MAPPA is expected to animate the entire original series, there’s a possibility fans will also get to see the sequel manga adapted into animation. All the volumes of this short series have already been released in Japan, and we can anticipate an English release later this year, though it will likely take a few months.
To celebrate the release of the final volume on May 1st, MAPPA released a promotional video hinting at a future anime. The popular series Jujutsu Kaisen will continue with a new spin-off novel by renowned horror writer Yumeaki Hirayama. While details are still secret, the novel is being overseen by the series creator, Gege Akutami.
Although the main story of Jujutsu Kaisen has finished and there are no plans for a sequel or spin-off right now, the series will likely remain popular for a long time thanks to future releases and exciting new projects designed to keep fans engaged.
