Crunchyroll’s Biggest Action Fantasy of The Year Creator Hypes The Best Arc

The popular fantasy series Wistoria: Wand and Sword, based on the novels by Fujino Omori (also known for Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?), recently returned for a second season. New episodes are available to stream on Crunchyroll every Sunday at 1:30 A.M. Pacific Time, soon after they air in Japan. Both seasons are currently available in North and South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, India, and Southeast Asia. The English dub of Season 2 will be released two weeks after the original, with new dubbed episodes becoming available at the same time as the subtitled versions.

I was so hyped when they dropped that recap video last week! It was a perfect way to get us all ready for what’s about to happen – things really kick off with Episode 7. And then Omori, the author, left this amazing message after the episode aired. They talked about how, while writing this ‘Tower Arc,’ they remembered advice from a senior writer: that becoming a writer isn’t the finish line, it’s just the beginning! It was super inspiring, and they also thanked us all for watching and got us even more excited for the next episode. I can’t wait!

Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2 Enters a Crucial Phase

Season one set the stage for the larger story, focusing on Will’s challenges at magic school despite having no magical ability. He dreams of reaching the Magia Vander tower and finding his childhood friend, Elfaria. The second season began with the graduation ceremony and a major event called the Terminalia, but was interrupted when the capital city came under attack.

Will almost didn’t make it into the tower after graduating, and was deeply disappointed when his attempt failed. To make matters worse, during the New Year celebrations, the capital city was attacked by a terrifyingly powerful monster, forcing him to fight and discover a hidden strength within himself. Already grieving the loss of his friend, Rosty, Will felt hopeless about the future. But his bravery and effort didn’t go unnoticed – the academy gave him one last chance to enter the tower at the very last minute.

Will still faces significant hurdles in his quest to become a Magia Vander, and remains far behind Elfaria despite entering the tower. As his journey progresses, the world braces for the day the barrier falls and chaos returns. The next episode will likely show which group decides to support the mysterious lone sword.
