I’m so excited to share that That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Tears of the Azure Sea is hitting theaters in the US and Canada on May 1st! You’ll be able to watch it with the original Japanese audio and English subtitles, or with a brand new English dub – awesome, right? And get this: on April 20th, Crunchyroll is doing a special Anime Nights event where they’ll show a ten-minute sneak peek of Tears of the Azure Sea along with a re-release of the previous movie, Scarlet Bond! There’s so much more coming for fans, and I can’t wait!
Following the events of the third season, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Tears of the Azure Sea presents an all-new story penned by the author of the original light novels, Fuse. Directed by Yasuhito Kikuchi and animated by studio Eightbit – the team behind the popular TV anime – this film is a major release for fans, especially with the next anime season planned for Spring 2026. Expect plenty of appearances from Rimuru!
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 Confirms Crunchyroll Streaming Release

The fourth season of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is set to premiere on Crunchyroll on April 3rd as part of the Spring 2026 anime lineup. It’s expected to be a major release among new seasons of isekai anime. The season will be divided into five parts (cours), with the first two airing consecutively through the end of the year. There will be a pause between these first two parts and the remaining three.
The anime That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is expanding its scope with each new season. As Rimuru and the nation of Tempest become more powerful and well-known, they’re drawing the attention of rivals, leading to bigger and more intense conflicts that will continue to unfold.
