Yukinobu Tatsu’s cherished manga, titled “Dandadan,” first made its animated debut in Fall 2024 and quickly gained worldwide popularity due to its compelling narrative, engaging characters, and top-notch animation. The series is set to return this Summer 2025, approximately six months following the conclusion of the first season, to delve further into the enigma surrounding the Haunted House. Momo, Okarun, and Jiji find themselves in a world of deeper trouble than they had initially anticipated. In the upcoming season, the existence of the elusive Mongolian Deathworm dwelling beneath the Haunted House is uncovered, responsible for hundreds of deaths spanning over two centuries. Furthermore, it’s revealed that the Kito family has been offering sacrifices to this creature since its inception.
Originally an innocent child chosen as a sacrifice, the malevolent spirit now known as The Evil Eye underwent a transformation into a vengeful entity at some point. It seized control of Jiji and has since been attempting to exterminate humanity. In the most recent episode, Okarun discovered a method to banish it, but Jiji will continue to struggle with maintaining control over The Evil Eye in future episodes. With eight episodes already broadcast, we’re just weeks away from the season finale of Dandadan. As the storyline involving The Evil Eye concludes, the anime sets sail for a fresh journey, unveiling a key visual and promotional video that showcase one of the manga’s most beloved characters.
Warning: Spoilers Ahead From the Dandadan Manga!
Dandadan Season 2 Finally Introduces an Overlooked Future Ally

In a forthcoming development for the Kaiju Arc of Dandadan, Kinta Sakata will have his first appearance in anime. Although fans have already caught brief glimpses of him through the opening and closing themes, this arc marks his official debut. Meanwhile, another significant character from the same arc, Vamola, receives a fresh look in the latest promo materials. The key visual for this release showcases a massive robot and a creature resembling Godzilla engaged in combat. Notably, Kinta is seen commanding the giant robot, while Vamola navigates a battle suit modeled after the Godzilla figure. The trailer primarily emphasizes Kinta’s entrance, but also offers additional sneak peeks of Vamola’s Godzilla-like form.
In the storyline, a character named Vamola, an extraordinary alien being, emerges as the antagonist during the Kaiju Arc. As the narrative progresses, she becomes increasingly significant and is widely adored by manga enthusiasts. The Kaiju Arc functions as an introductory segment to the Space Globalists Arc, which is known for its exceptional quality among fans of this series. The Space Globalists Arc will be depicted in Season 3; however, given that the Kaiju Arc comprises just 11 chapters, there’s a possibility that the second season may conclude with another suspenseful cliffhanger, hinting at the impending grand battle that Momo and her companions will face.
Beyond just being a coincidence, it turns out that the head of the Kito family being an alien was part of a larger scheme devised by these extraterrestrial beings. This revelation occurred during the final episode of the Cursed House Arc when Naki Kito vanished. The next season of “Dandadan”, due for release on August 28th, 2025, will delve deeper into this new storyline.
