Last year, the anime version of “Dandadan” made its debut in the Fall 2024 anime lineup and quickly gained popularity and critical recognition. Approximately half a year following the end of Season 1, anticipation for the return of “Dandadan” was high, and it premiered during Summer 2025. The first season initiated the Cursed House Arc, which is one of the most thrilling and intense storylines in the series. However, before fans could uncover all the answers to their questions, the season ended with a dramatic cliffhanger. By Episode 4 of Season 2, the Cursed House Arc is nearing its end, but the battle is far from over.
The Mongolian Deathworm, known as Tsuchinoko, has been vanquished, yet the malevolent spirit of the Evil Eye continues to reside unscathed. Historically, the Evil Eye was among the unfortunate souls targeted by the Kito family during their gruesome rituals meant to placate Tsuchinoko. For over two centuries, the spirit of this innocent child has been imprisoned within the Haunted Mansion. However, years of suppressed anger transformed him into a formidable force, desiring only destruction. Momo Ayase and her companions are once again bracing themselves for conflict as the menace persists.

Dandadan Season 2 Is All Set to Commence the Evil Eye Arc

In this episode of “Dandadan” Season 2, Granny Seiko steps in to resolve matters, yet there’s a pressing issue – Jiji is under the control of the Malevolent Gaze, losing his identity in the process. This storyline, known as the Evil Eye Saga, serves as an extension of the Haunted Manor plot, focusing on Jiji’s struggles post-possession. It’s crucial to note that he poses a significant danger to those around him. Additionally, we will delve deeper into the true power of the Malevolent Gaze and uncover what makes it nearly untouchable when it comes to exorcism. This episode marks the conclusion of the Haunted Manor Arc and the beginning of the subsequent storyline within the current season.

In the upcoming episode, it appears that Granny Seiko and the group will attempt to get rid of the Evil Eye. Yet, Jiji finds himself in a tough spot due to his compassion for the young boy who transformed into a vengeful spirit. Although Jiji has gained some mastery over the Evil Eye in the manga, it remains within him. He employs its powers similarly to Aira and Okarun, but unlike them, he still carries the Evil Eye within himself. This storyline unfolds across twelve chapters, hinting that Season 2 may delve into the Kaiju Arc, introducing a new character as its central focus.
This part also functions as an introduction for the Space Globasits Arc, the most thrilling arc of the series yet, expected to be portrayed in season three. The narrative following the Evil Eye Arc will delve deeper into extraterrestrial entities and their ominous powers. It’s left to Momo and her companions to prevent these aliens from conquering Earth.
