This summer, I’m thrilled to share that Sir David Attenborough is returning with an all-new documentary! It’s being hailed as a groundbreaking natural history series, delving into life’s most significant struggle…
Entitled “Parenthood: A Game of Survival,” this five-part series explores how parenting among various species often involves devising remarkable tactics as some parents employ uncommon methods to ensure their offspring thrive in a challenging environment.
As told by Attenborough, this series was captured over a span of three years on six continents. It promises to provide glimpses into the “tumultuous, perilous, and delightful aspects of animal parenting in an ever-evolving environment”.
The event starts this coming Sunday, specifically the 3rd of August, at 7:20 PM, airing on BBC One. All the episodes will also be accessible on BBC iPlayer afterwards.
The series showcases unique animal actions and conveys a universal appeal for conserving our natural environment.
Jack Bootle, the head of specialist factual commissioning at BBC, expressed to The Mirror that “This is an exceptional, heartwarming, captivating, and surprising series produced by top-notch wildlife filmmakers worldwide. I’m delighted that Sir David will be joining us once more to narrate it.
In a statement, Director Jeff Wilson mentioned that Silverback Films dedicated around 2.5 years to thoroughly investigate the topic, leading to the discovery of astonishing new behaviors and breath-taking conflicts, all captured by top-notch wildlife camerapersons and filmmakers from across the globe.
