With Supergirl coming out this summer, James Gunn is already deep into planning the future of the DC Universe, specifically the Superman family of characters. Filming has begun on Man of Tomorrow, the sequel to his Superman movie, which is expected in theaters in July 2027. Before filming started, a lot of attention was focused on who would be cast. Along with actors returning from Superman, the movie will star Lars Eidinger as Brainiac, Aaron Pierre as John Stewart, and Adria Arjona in an undisclosed role that many believe is Maxima.
