Dead as Disco is an upcoming beat ’em up game with a unique feature: it blends music and action. It’s looking promising and is scheduled to enter early access on May 5th.
You play as Charlie Disco, a talented musician and martial artist who settles scores with his old bandmates using both his fists and his rhymes. The game lets you battle to the beat of your own music, and we’re excited to see how players push the boundaries of its musical integration.
You’ll spend time at a local dive bar – it’s both your headquarters and a place to learn about the falling out between Charlie and his old bandmates. Battles happen in time with the music, so it might be helpful to bring a metronome to keep you on beat.
Okay, so I’m seriously getting hyped to play Kung Fu Fighting – I’m going to have it on repeat while showing my old bandmates how it’s done! Check out the trailer below if you want to see the crazy, neon-soaked graphics and just how wild the gameplay is.
