The creators behind Tales of Kenzera: Zau, Surgent Studios, have revealed that their upcoming game, Dead Take, is set to debut on July 31st for PC. This exciting project is being distributed by Pocketpair and boasts the talents of Neil Newbon (known for his role as Astarion in Baldur’s Gate 3) and Ben Starr (recognized as Clive in Final Fantasy 16). For a sneak peek, be sure to watch the latest trailer below.
In this psychological horror game, players take on the role of Chase Lowry as he explores the enigmatic mansion of a Hollywood director, searching for his missing friend Vinny Monroe. By solving puzzles and editing clips, players will unravel secrets and discover the underlying truth. As creative director Abubakar Salim pointed out in a press release, it’s not just about the thrill of ambition but also the corruption hidden beneath, the deceptions we use to gain fame, and the monstrous transformations we undergo to maintain that spotlight.
Besides Newbon and Starr, there are other notable actors featured in the film. As hinted in the trailer, keep an eye out for Jane Perry from “Dragon Age: The Veilguard” and Alanah Pearce from “Cyberpunk 2077”. Additionally, you’ll spot Laura Bailey, Matthew Mercer, Sam Lake, Travis Willingham, and Connor Marc Colquhoun, better known as CDawgVA. Keep an eye out for more information about “Dead Take” before its release.
