The popular BBC crime drama Death in Paradise is starting its fifteenth season. As usual, viewers can look forward to a fresh cast of guest stars joining the Saint Marie police as they tackle a new series of complex and puzzling murder cases.
The cast features several well-known actors, including Siobhan Finneran, beloved from Happy Valley, and Scarlett Alice Johnson, who originally played Vicki Fowler in EastEnders. They’re joined by Hermione Norris (Spooks), Steffan Rhodri (Gavin & Stacey), and Ben Willbond, co-creator and star of Ghosts.
Mervin is excited to connect with his newly found half-brother, Solomon (Daniel Ward), but their relationship quickly becomes strained when Mervin realizes they don’t have much in common.
Meanwhile, Commissioner Selwyn Patterson is dealing with the fallout from being away. After a frank conversation with his friend Catherine Bordey, he tries to regain the trust of the people of Saint Marie, but it won’t be easy.
But it’s not just the guest cast who are guaranteed to shake things up…

Detective Sergeant Naomi Thomas and Officer Sebastian Rose are guiding new recruit Sergeant Mattie Fletcher as she starts her job. However, secrets from Mattie’s past are emerging, and her arrival could create unexpected problems for everyone involved.
Gilet observed that Mattie has a rebellious streak, something they haven’t seen much of before. Though around the same age as Officer Seb Rose, she’s considerably more experienced. As a sergeant, she’s proactive and seasoned, while Seb is still new to the force and learning the ropes.
I’m really enjoying watching their dynamic – it’s fascinating to see how they both care for each other, but also aren’t afraid to push boundaries. Honestly, she’s been such a fantastic asset to the group – we’re lucky to have her!
Season 15 will feature guest appearances by Sarah Hadland (known from Horrible Histories), Gary Wilmot (Midsomer Murders), Tim McMullan (Shakespeare in Love), Julian Rhind-Tutt (Green Wing), Ace Bhatti (Malpractice), Louis Davison (Vikings: Valhalla), Sean Delaney (Killing Eve), Lizzie Davidson (Such Brave Girls), Kojo Kamara (The Outlaws), Layo-Christina Akinlude (The Stolen Girl), Sandra James-Young (Wild Cherry), Phoebe Sparrow, Antonia Bernath (both of Downton Abbey), and Trieve Blackwood-Cambridge (Rematch).
