Following its usual pattern, Death in Paradise is featuring a new group of guest actors in its fifteenth season, starting with Steffan Rhodri, known from Gavin & Stacey, in the first episode, and continuing with Hermione Norris (Spooks, Cold Feet) in the second.
The third episode features Siobhan Finneran, a well-known British actress from shows like Happy Valley, Time, and Benidorm. Interestingly, she’s also the partner of Don Gilet, who plays the main character in the series.
Fleur Edwards, an artist who moved to Saint Marie three months ago hoping to find inspiration, sees her fresh start disrupted when her neighbor, Henry Carpenter, is murdered.
Because Fleur was home when the shooting happened, Mervin and Naomi suspect she might not be telling them everything she knows.
“What aren’t you telling us, Ms Edwards?” the DS asks in an exclusive clip shared with RadioTimes.
Fleur told the detectives she only upset Henry, not harmed him, suggesting they’d recently argued.
Mervin, however, isn’t persuaded.

I was so excited to see Gilet and Finneran working together again! They had fantastic chemistry in The Loch – that ITV crime drama with Laura Fraser – and I really enjoyed watching them together back then. It’s always great when actors have that established rapport.
Gilet previously played a profiler who analyzed criminals, and Finneran was a detective. But in ‘Death in Paradise,’ they’ve switched roles – now Finneran is the one being investigated.
On the show This Morning, Gilet discussed working with Finneran again on the BBC series, saying she clearly enjoyed it and that it was a pleasure to collaborate. He playfully added that she’s really improved, noting a newfound calmness and presence she’s developed in her performances, suggesting he’s had a positive influence.
She’s noticeably more confident lately, and it’s paying off – she’s been getting more opportunities.
They’ve been a couple since 2018, and Finneran publicly confirmed their relationship in an interview with The Guardian last year.
