The anime movie Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is a massive hit, and it’s easy to see why – it kicks off the final three-part story arc, featuring epic battles between Tanjiro, the Hashira, and Muzan’s strongest followers. Despite its popularity, there’s still no news about when fans will be able to stream the film. So far, no digital release date has been announced, which is frustrating fans who are actively using social media to ask for updates.
It’s been nine months since Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle was released in theaters, but there’s still no news about when it will be available to buy or rent on digital or physical media. This is unusual, as most movies are released digitally and in stores within weeks or a few months of their theatrical release, both in North America and Japan. As of today, the animation studio Ufotable hasn’t announced any plans for a home video release, leaving fans wondering when they’ll be able to watch the film again now that it’s no longer showing in cinemas.

Demon Slayer’s Future
So far, there’s no official release date for the last two Demon Slayer movies, though an earlier report suggested they might come out in 2027 and 2029. Crunchyroll quickly denied that rumor. The first movie was a huge success thanks to its action-packed battles, and it’s possible the next two films could even be more popular and earn even more money than Infinity Castle.
The Demon Slayer manga concluded in 2020, and so far, there’s been no indication from either the publisher, Shonen Jump, or the author, Koyoharu Gotouge, that the story will continue. Given the satisfying ending of the original manga, it seems unlikely we’ll see more adventures with the Demon Slayer Corps. However, if Gotouge were to decide to create new stories, it would be huge news for anime and manga fans.
Ufotable, the animation studio behind the popular Demon Slayer series, has several projects in development beyond Tanjiro’s story. They’re partnering with Hoyoverse to create an anime adaptation of the video game Genshin Impact. Additionally, they’re working on an anime film based on the game Witch on the Holy Night. While both Genshin Impact and Witch on the Holy Night are highly anticipated, release dates for both projects haven’t been announced yet.
