Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Readies for First Blu-ray Release With New Look

I’m excited to see that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle is finally coming to Blu-ray this summer, and a new trailer just gave us a peek at what to expect. The film, which covers a huge part of Koyoharu Gotoge’s manga, was a massive success when it hit theaters last year – it actually played in Japan for nine whole months! It’s great that fans who missed it in cinemas will soon be able to experience it at home.

The theatrical run of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle has finished in Japan, and it will be available on Blu-ray and DVD there on July 29th. While there’s no news yet about when it will be released on home video internationally, a new promotional video has been released showcasing the Blu-ray and DVD features. You can watch the promo, which was shared on the film’s official social media, below.

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Blu-ray/DVD New Look Revealed

The Blu-ray and DVD of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle will be available in Japan on July 29th. However, there are currently no plans to release it on home video outside of Japan. The movie is playing in Japanese theaters again, so it may take some time before a physical copy is available internationally. Good news for international fans, though: we might hear about a streaming release—possibly at Anime Expo 2026—much sooner than expected.

The anime series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle will have a panel at Anime Expo 2026 this July to celebrate the release of its first movie. This event could be where they announce plans for streaming the film. However, the delay in releasing the first film – even a home version – almost a year later suggests that the second part of Infinity Castle is still quite a ways off from being released, potentially disappointing fans.

When Does Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 Come Out?

Unfortunately, there’s no news yet about what to expect from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Part 2 or when it will be released. While Ufotable has confirmed they’re working on it as part of a trilogy, it’s listed as a “Future Project” after their plans for 2026. This likely means the film won’t be out until 2027 at the earliest, and we probably won’t see any trailers or promotional content until after the first film is available on home video and streaming services.

The second movie isn’t likely to come out quickly, as the first one is still very popular almost a year after its release. They’ll continue promoting it with international releases, and there’s no pressure to rush the sequel. Fans are happy to wait as long as the second film lives up to the quality of the first.
