Dice Throne Digital Just Made Its Hit Game Even Better (And Teases Future Upgrades)

Fans of the board game Dice Throne have long hoped for a digital version, so the announcement of Dice Throne Digital was met with a lot of excitement. The game’s Kickstarter campaign was a huge success, and the digital version includes improvements over the tabletop game. The developers have also hinted at future upgrades to make the game even better.

The digital version of Dice Throne quickly exceeded its $100,000 funding goal, reaching it in just 21 minutes and currently raising over $435,000. In response to this success, the developers are making the game more accessible by adding new, lower-priced options that include only the initial heroes, and reducing the cost of the higher-tier packages. They’ve also announced plans for ranked play and hinted at features like offline mode and guilds, making Dice Throne Digital an even more appealing purchase.

Dice Throne Digital Is Shaping Up To Be The Game Fans Have Always Wanted

Dice Throne is popular because it combines luck and strategy. Players roll their character’s special dice – up to three times – to use their unique abilities. Each character plays differently, with their own powers and advantages. The results of your dice rolls determine how you can disrupt your opponent and impact the battle.

Dice Throne Digital keeps the fun, strategic gameplay of the original while adding more ways to play. You can still enjoy classic Dice Throne matches, or try the new campaign mode, which is similar to Slay the Spire. There’s also Thronebound, a seasonal mode where you can compete in ranked one-on-one battles.

Because it’s a digital game, you can personalize your heroes with cool visual effects, skins, avatar frames, emotes, and custom card designs. Plus, if you enjoy mixed reality, you can play on Meta devices. Dice Throne Digital is available on many platforms, including Meta, iOS, Android, and Steam, so you can play wherever you like!

We’ve added two new options! For $20, Release Tier 1 lets you pick one of two hero bundles – the Fiery Brawn Pack (Barbarian, Moon Elf, Pyromancer, and Shadow Thief) or the Strength & Spirit Pack (Monk, Paladin, Treant, and Ninja) – to unlock when the game launches. For $30, Release Tier 2 gives you all the launch heroes, plus rewards from every funding goal we’ve reached.

We’ve updated the prices for our Founder tiers, which are designed for players who want the complete game experience. The Gold Founder tier is now $50, down from $60. The Diamond Founder tier has been reduced from $80 to $70, and the Ultimanium Founder tier is now $110 instead of $120.

Nate Chatellier, co-creator of Dice Throne and President of Nerd Ninjas, explained that their main aim is to create a Dice Throne Digital experience where all fans can play together. They’ve responded to community feedback by offering more pledge options and adjusting prices to make it more accessible for everyone to participate. Chatellier emphasized that all supporters, whether they join at launch or through the Backstage Access tiers, are essential in helping to build and realize their vision for the game.
