Disney Lorcana Reveals Monsters Inc Cards, Next Illumineer’s Quest, and New Set With One of Disney’s Most Underrated Films

The Disney Lorcana trading card game had a great start to 2026 with the Winterspell set, and now players are eagerly awaiting Wilds Unknown. This new set will add characters from popular franchises like Toy Story and The Incredibles to the game. Ravensburger has also previewed upcoming Monsters Inc. cards, a new Illumineer’s Quest, and even hinted at a future set based on a lesser-known Disney movie.

The next Lorcana set, Wilds Unknown, is generating excitement, especially with the surprise reveal of Merida from Disney’s Brave. We also saw more cards featuring characters from The Incredibles and Toy Story. Ravensburger then previewed the first cards from the Attack of the Vine set, introducing Sully, Mike, and Boo from Monsters, Inc.. Winnie the Pooh will be the focus of the next Illumineer’s Quest, and Lorcana also gave a first look at a future set based on the film Onward, which many fans consider a hidden gem and could make for a fantastic set.

Wilds Unknown Marks A Major Change For Lorcana

Along with the introduction of fan-favorite characters like Merida, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Mr. and Mrs. Incredible, and others, Wilds Unknown features significant new elements and improvements over past editions.

We’re launching a 2-Player Starter Set featuring cards from Toy Story and The Incredibles. This is the beginning of a new series of releases for these sets, with more expected about every six months. We’ll also have Prerelease Packs available for Wilds Unknown, and you can get them at Prerelease Events. Like the Attack of the Vine set, these will include a special Prerelease box.

As a huge fan, I was so excited to see all the new cards coming to Lorcana! They revealed a ton of characters I love, like Mr. Incredible, Violet, Dash, Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Luisa from Encanto, Gadget, Merida, Maleficent, Ariel, Cruella De Vil, the Queen of Hearts, Cinderella, and Pocahontas – just to name a few! And it’s not just characters, they’re adding cool new locations like Pizza Planet and the Remote Inklands, which I can’t wait to play with!

Disney Lorcana’s Future Includes Attack of the Vine, Hyperia City, The Great Hunny Rescue, and Onward

Lorcana also gave a sneak peek at upcoming sets planned through 2027, beginning with Attack of the Vine. This set will draw inspiration from Monsters, Inc., and the first three cards were revealed, showcasing fan-favorite characters Mike Wazowski, Sulley, and Boo. In addition to the usual Illumineer’s Trove and Prerelease Pack, this set will bring back the popular Illumineer’s Quest co-op game, with a special focus on characters from The 100 Acre Wood.

The latest Illumineer’s Quest is called The Great Hunny Rescue and stars a special Hunny Wizard version of Winnie the Pooh! The set also includes beloved characters like Rabbit, Piglet, and Tigger, and we’re excited to share more details soon. Attack of the Vine will be available for prerelease on July 17, 2026, and will be widely released on July 24, 2026.

We already knew Coco would be coming to Lorcana, and now we have more details! Coco will be featured in the upcoming Hyperia City set. You can find a preview of the set below.

Okay, as a huge Lorcana fan, I was completely blown away by their last reveal! They showed us a sneak peek at a set coming out in 2027, and it’s going to be based on Onward! I always thought Onward was a really cool movie, especially with all the Dungeons & Dragons vibes, and even though it did well with critics and audiences, it doesn’t always get the love it deserves when people talk about their favorite Disney films. But now it’s getting its moment with a new Lorcana set! Considering how much the movie is about role-playing games, I’m so excited to see what Ravensburger does with it and how they bring it all to life in the game.
