Need a relaxing escape? PowerWash Simulator 2, the new game from FuturLab, is coming out on October 23, 2025! The developers revealed the release date with a trailer on Tuesday, giving players a sneak peek at the dirty town of Muckingham and all the cleaning they’ll be doing. You can watch the trailer below.
PowerWash Simulator 2 expands on the original with new locations and more complex cleaning jobs that unfold in stages. A major addition is co-op play – you can now team up with friends locally or online and save your progress together. While there are new cleaning tools, they’re mostly cosmetic and don’t significantly change how you clean.
The sequel also introduces a customizable home base where you can decorate with items you collect throughout the game – even restoring and displaying cleaned furniture. You can enjoy the relaxing experience solo with some friendly cats, or play with a friend.
For those familiar with the first game, the quirky storyline continues, with collectibles like newspapers revealing more about the strange events happening in town. A demo is currently available on Steam if you’d like to try it out.
PowerWash Simulator 2 is launching into a crowded month
October is shaping up to be a busy month for gamers! Alongside the launch of PowerWash Simulator 2, major titles like Battlefield 6 and Little Nightmares 3 are arriving soon. Xbox is also releasing three first-party games throughout the month: Keeper on October 17th, Ninja Gaiden 4 on October 21st, and The Outer Worlds 2 on October 29th.
Good news for subscribers: PowerWash Simulator 2 will be available immediately on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Even with a recent price increase for Game Pass Ultimate, the addition of these four games – PowerWash Simulator 2, Keeper, Ninja Gaiden 4, and The Outer Worlds 2 – gives players a lot to enjoy.
With such a diverse lineup, there’s something for every gamer. It might be tough, like it is for me, to find time to play them all! PowerWash Simulator 2 will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC (Steam and Xbox on PC), PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
