Good news for Doctor Who fans! The soundtrack for season 10, which many have been eagerly anticipating, is finally being released.
As a huge Doctor Who fan, I was thrilled to hear some amazing news! The soundtrack to Peter Capaldi’s final season – Season 10, with Pearl Mackie and Matt Lucas – finally got an official release. It aired way back in 2017, so many of us have been waiting eight years to complete our collections! Murray Gold’s music was such a big part of that season, and it’s fantastic it’s now available officially.
A recent video posted on Doctor Who’s official social media pages has confirmed the show is returning, though they haven’t announced when it will air yet.
Fans are thrilled with the announcement. Many expressed their excitement online, with one person exclaiming, “It’s about time!” and another celebrating that they were “finally getting Bill’s Theme after 8 years.” The general feeling of relief and joy was perfectly captured by one fan who simply wrote, “At long last! HALLELUJAH!!”
Gold recently shared that releasing the Doctor Who soundtracks has become a bigger undertaking than initially expected. Speaking at a BFI event, he explained that the sheer volume of music to sort through – a situation he jokingly takes responsibility for – has made the process more complex.
He continued: “The plan is to get it all out, in one big music dump. It’s coming. It is coming.”
While fans are enjoying the new soundtrack for season 10, they’re also eager to find out if Disney will renew Doctor Who for additional seasons.
Good news for Doctor Who fans: the show will definitely continue on the BBC, even if it doesn’t end up partnering with Disney. So you don’t need to worry about it disappearing from the BBC!
The season finale left viewers shocked as Ncuti Gatwa’s Doctor transformed back into Billie Piper’s character. The details behind this surprising change will be revealed in the future!
