Besides releasing one of the year’s top games, Donkey Kong Bananza, Nintendo has unveiled a fresh DLC called DK Island and Emerald Rush during their latest Direct. The best part is that this add-on is already available for Switch 2 players on the eShop at a cost of $19.99. Give it a look below!
The updated Donkey Kong Island, a revamped classic, is now available through the DLC. It features Gangplank Galleon and DK’s Treehouse. Players have the opportunity to snap selfies with characters like Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong, and others. They can also personalize the world by adding unique statues, and explore new mine cart tracks and jungle ruins stages as bonus content.
In the latest update, Emerald Rush introduces a gameplay style where you gather Emerald Ores in several rounds with a time limit. While playing as Donkey Kong, you’ll come across distinct Fossils that offer random bonus features and Banadium Gems for abilities. As your achievements progress, additional costumes and statues will become accessible. Nintendo hints at recurring limited-time events. However, to gain access to this mode, it is necessary to finish the primary storyline first.
