Don’t Expect a Resident Evil Requiem Demo, Capcom Has ‘No Plans’

Capcom, the company behind the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem, has indicated that players shouldn’t expect a demo before the game’s release.

Capcom has often released playable demos for its games, giving fans a chance to try them out before they officially launch. This has been true for many previous installments in the series, and allows players to experience the newest survival horror game firsthand.

For years, Resident Evil games have consistently received demos, starting with Resident Evil 6. However, it appears the upcoming game, Requiem, won’t follow that tradition.

I was reading an interview with the producer, Masato Kumazawa, over at Stevivor, and they straight-up asked him if we’re getting a sequel. I’m really hoping the answer is yes!

As a huge fan, I was hoping to hear about a demo, but it sounds like the team isn’t planning one for now. They’re really focused on just finishing the game and making sure it’s the best it can be – they want to deliver a polished, high-quality product, and that’s where all their energy is going right now.

It’s disappointing that there doesn’t seem to be a public demo for Requiem, especially since Capcom has consistently offered them with their games in the past.

Requiem will be released on February 27, 2026, which is just around the corner – not a long wait at all considering how long these things usually take.

Many fans likely anticipated, or at least wanted, a playable demo before the game’s release so they could try it out beforehand.

We suppose plans can change, and a demo may appear, but we wouldn’t hold our breath.
