The Fallout community has been buzzing lately thanks to the excellent second season of the popular TV show on Amazon.
To enhance the fan experience, Amazon created an interactive website where users can explore places from the Fallout world. There’s one entry on the map that isn’t a real location—at least, not yet.
There’s a countdown timer running, and it appears to be connected to the season two finale. This has fans speculating about a big reveal – maybe even a surprise remaster of Fallout 3! However, according to our sources, a Fallout 3 remaster isn’t happening… at least not yet.
There’s been speculation that a countdown on the Fallout TV show’s Amazon page might mean a surprise release of a new Fallout game or an updated version of an older one. But sources say that’s not happening. What *is* coming, though, is a full remake of Fallout 3, similar in style to the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, and a remastered version of Fallout: New Vegas as well.

He’s not denying it will happen eventually, only that it isn’t happening at this moment. We may still see it in the future, but everything we know suggests it has nothing to do with Amazon.
What’s the countdown for? Since it’s Amazon, I’m guessing it’s teasing the filming location for Season 3 of the show. It would be great if it hinted at a new game, but a location reveal seems more probable.
The popularity of Fallout is surging once more! Just like after the first season, the new season has brought more players back to existing Fallout games, especially Fallout 4 and Fallout: New Vegas.
Players can expect to see Fallout elements in the next Call of Duty: Black Ops game, as the two franchises—both owned by Microsoft—team up.
We’ll have to wait just under four weeks to discover why the countdown is happening.
