Marvel Studios might have subtly hinted at how its next two Avengers movies will end by way of their official logos. With excitement building for Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, fans are looking back at a popular idea: that the design of the Avengers logo foreshadows whether the heroes succeed or fail.
Will the Avengers lose in Secret Wars’ ending?
The Avengers Circle Theory suggests the circular pattern surrounding the “A” in the Avengers logo foreshadows events in each movie.
In The Avengers and Age of Ultron, a complete circle in the imagery symbolized the heroes’ victories. However, in Infinity War, a half-circle represented their defeat. Endgame showed a full circle again, leading to another win. Based on upcoming movie imagery, it appears a full circle signifies victory, while a half-circle predicts a loss, suggesting the heroes will win in the next film but face defeat in Secret Wars.
There’s growing talk that Marvel’s upcoming Secret Wars movie might actually be released in two parts. Sources like Daniel Richtman and The Cosmic Circus are reporting that Marvel is considering splitting the film into Secret Wars: Part 1 and Secret Wars: Part 2. This would be similar to how they handled Infinity War and Endgame, with the first part possibly ending on a down note and the second part either finishing the story or setting up a fresh start for the universe.
According to sources familiar with Marvel’s plans, the upcoming Secret Wars event might be released in two movies. This decision could depend on the performance of The Kang Dynasty. Splitting Secret Wars would allow Marvel more time to build up its characters, feature both new and classic heroes, and potentially begin a fresh start for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel is currently looking into the practical and legal aspects of rescheduling filming if they decide to go with the two-part format.
The logos for the upcoming stories ‘Doomsday’ and ‘Secret Wars’ are noticeably different: ‘Doomsday’ features a complete circle, while ‘Secret Wars’ uses only a half-circle. This difference has led fans to believe the Avengers will be victorious in ‘Doomsday,’ but will suffer a significant defeat in ‘Secret Wars’.
Losing this battle could have huge consequences, potentially wiping out everything and starting the story over. Some fans believe the incomplete circle seen on screen was a purposeful choice, meant to foreshadow a loss, similar to how the movie Infinity War used visuals to hint at defeat.
With Marvel’s Multiverse Saga nearing its end, fans are closely examining the logos for hints about where the story is headed and how the films are being made.
