Dragon Ball Finally Reveals What Happened With Long Lost Character

For quite some time now, numerous “Dragon Ball” enthusiasts have relished the revival of the Z-Fighters through series like “Dragon Ball Super” and “Dragon Ball Daimao”. Although new storylines have brought significant transformations to the Z-Fighters, it doesn’t necessarily mean that every departed character made a return. To this day, many anime fans remain curious about the whereabouts of a character who has been absent from Goku and his comrades for quite some time. Fortunately, more information has surfaced regarding the fate of an iconic character who played a crucial role in the shonen universe during its early days.

In the initial run of Dragon Ball series, Launch was portrayed as an unpredictable figure, transforming from a peaceful civilian to a bank robber with just a sneeze. Despite lacking the ability to become a Super Saiyan or shoot energy blasts, Launch made a lasting impact on both the Z-Fighters and fans. However, after making brief appearances in Dragon Ball Z, she was seldom seen again. Recently, it’s been revealed that Mami Koyama, the original voice actress for Launch, can no longer continue voicing the character due to her travels overseas. In a conversation with Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama, Koyama requested that he stop incorporating Launch into the storyline. It appears as though Toriyama has listened to her plea.

Dragon Ball’s “Human Problem”

Over the span of this shonen series, it’s been tough for ordinary humans, like Krillin, Tenshinhan, and others, to match the speed of characters such as Goku. Fortunately, Dragon Ball Super has managed to keep these characters relevant by presenting intriguing scenarios. In the Tournament of Power, several human fighters were included in Universe Seven’s team to avoid elimination.

Although not yet officially brought to life as an animated series, the Moro Arc promises significant scenes for numerous human characters within the Dragon Ball universe. With a malevolent sorcerer releasing hordes of his followers onto Earth, even characters like Yamcha and Chiaotzu are given opportunities to rejoin the action. At the time this article was written, Toei Animation has not specified a return date for Dragon Ball Super’s anime, but fans eagerly await its arrival.

I regret to inform fans eagerly waiting for the continuation of the Dragon Ball Super manga this year, but unfortunately, it seems we’ll have to wait a bit longer. A recent update suggests that the story will not resume its current break in 2025, so we can expect the Z-Fighters to return to Weekly Shonen Jump pages at least a few months after that.
