Drake’s Super Bowl prediction wasn’t the richest flex.
Drake bet $1 million on the New England Patriots to win against the Seattle Seahawks on February 8th, but his bet lost.
The day before the Seahawks soundly defeated the Patriots 29-13 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, Drake made a bold public prediction.
On February 7th, he shared a screenshot on Instagram of his $1 million Moneyline bet and the resulting $2,950,000 payout, challenging anyone to bet against him on the platform @stake.
Grammy winner Mark Wahlberg, a dedicated Patriots fan, agreed and simply commented, “SMART MAN.” Another user jokingly connected the rapper’s name to potential Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, pointing out a player named DRAKTopMob and expressing excitement.
However, many people also noted Drake’s tendency to seemingly bring bad luck to teams he publicly bets on, often resulting in those teams losing.
One commenter joked about the “Drake curse,” while another said the fighter seemed to have already lost before even competing.

Drake didn’t attend the big game, where stars like Kim Kardashian, Lewis Hamilton (who sparked dating rumors), Cardi B, and Alix Earle watched the Seahawks win from great seats. Several other celebrities, including Alix Earle, Pedro Pascal, Jessica Alba, and Bad Bunny (who performed at halftime), also made appearances.
Although Drake didn’t win any money on the game, the Seahawks celebrated their victory – their first time winning the Lombardi Trophy since 2014. The game also marked a milestone for Sam Darnold, making him the first quarterback from the highly anticipated 2018 draft class – including stars like Josh Allen, Baker Mayfield, and Lamar Jackson – to win a championship.
After everything I’ve achieved in my career, getting to do it with this team makes it even more special – I couldn’t ask for a better group of guys,” Sam shared after the game. “I’m incredibly proud of them.
Having played for eight different teams before joining Seattle, Sam appreciates all the experiences that ultimately led to the greatest win of his career.
He said he’s always had support from his teammates and coaches, and that belief in himself comes from his family and friends. He described it as a straightforward source of confidence.
