I’m so excited to hear that Dread Delusion is coming to pretty much everything! DreadXP and Lovely Hellplace just announced it’ll be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One this spring. It’s great news for fans like me who want to experience this open-world RPG on their preferred console.
The game Dread Delusion was initially available on Steam in Early Access starting June 15, 2022, and officially launched on May 14, 2024.
Here is an overview of the game, via DreadXP:
Drawing inspiration from beloved adventure games of the ’90s and early 2000s like King’s Field and The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Dread Delusion offers a beautiful, retro art style alongside traditional RPG gameplay. Players can customize their character to fit how they like to play while exploring a large and immersive world. The console versions, coming to Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4 & 5, and Xbox One & Series X|S, will include all the improvements and content added during the game’s Early Access on Steam – including Hard Mode, the ability to customize your airship, and the Creature Island area.
Dread Delusion is an open-world RPG that feels like a classic adventure from the early 2000s, with a charming retro visual style. Explore a vast and imaginative world filled with quests that have multiple endings and offer plenty of ways to play. You can build your character to suit your style, and often, talking your way out of trouble or using your wits is just as effective as fighting. Your choices matter and will change the story, offering a fresh take on the classic RPG experience. There are many secrets to uncover, people to meet, and alternative solutions to obstacles – you can pick locks, learn forbidden magic, or simply charm those around you.
