Cygnus Cross just dropped a new trailer for their action adventure RPG, Emberville, giving fans a first look at updated gameplay and revealing a new character joining the cast.
Abubakar Salim, known for his roles as Bayek in Assassin’s Creed Origins and Alyn of Hull in House of the Dragon, has joined the voice cast of the game.
Salim stated in a press release that he seeks out ambitious projects, and he believes Emberville is a prime example, truly innovating within its genre. He found the team’s intelligent and purposeful approach to deconstructing the genre to be both inspiring and impressive.
Alex Jordan, already announced as part of the main cast, will also be directing the game’s performance capture.
Jordan emphasized that the people behind a project are the most important factor for success. He explained that even the best idea won’t succeed without a dedicated team that pays close attention to detail. He was particularly impressed with the team behind Emberville, noting their exceptional commitment to quality and creating a lasting experience for players, which is what truly excites him about the project. He also jokingly confessed to misleading Doug Cockle with a promise of sausages to secure a deal, asking that it remain a secret.
Doug Cockle, who has already been announced as part of the cast, shared his enthusiasm, saying the game is being made with incredible passion, skill, and experience. He’s drawn to projects where the team knows what they want and has the ability to achieve it, particularly when it’s ambitious. He’s thrilled to be involved, and was also very pleased to hear there would be small sausages – which he particularly enjoys!
Emberville is due out in Early Access for PC via Steam this summer.
