Emilie Kiser is navigating an unimaginable loss.
Some time after the unfortunate incident of Trigg Kiser, their young son and TikTok creator Emilie Kiser’s husband Brady Kiser’s 3-year-old child, drowning in their family pool, Emilie has revealed that she is still working through the emotional aftermath of this tragedy.
Expressing Trigg’s passing as “the most profoundly affecting and emotionally intense incident I have ever encountered,” Emilie shared that both she and Brady are struggling with “our capacity to even begin the healing process,” as documented in court filings submitted to the Arizona Superior Court for Maricopa County, according to People.
During the occurrence in question, Brady was at home taking care of both the toddler and their 4-month-old son, Theodore. However, it has been stated that no criminal charges will be brought against Brady regarding this incident.
Emilie clarified that she wasn’t at home when the incident occurred. She expressed regret, saying that she would always question that choice, along with several others.
As she openly shows her deep sorrow due to the loss, the influencer requests some solitude for private mourning.
Emilie expressed, “The affection we hold for our kids resonates globally, since I’m a well-known figure on social media with numerous followers across several platforms. Whatever I’ve posted or shared as part of my profession solely reflects the profound and admiring love that binds us in our family. May this sentiment forever remain unchanged in my memory and everyone else’s.
Previously, she initiated a legal action on May 27 against the public offices of Maricopa County, with the aim of preserving confidential records related to the child’s death.
According to documents obtained by NBC News, a family lawyer elaborated on Emilie’s profound sorrow following the tragic and unintended drowning incident.
According to the lawsuit, Emilie is currently enduring every parent’s deepest fear – she has tragically lost her young son. Despite her efforts to support and care for her remaining son, two-month-old Theodore, each day is a struggle.
In my role as a lifestyle expert, I’d like to share an interesting insight. It has come to light that, following the unfortunate passing of Trigg on May 18, over 100 public record requests have been submitted, both to the city of Chandler, Ariz., and the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office. This information is based on allegations from a recent lawsuit.
Furthermore, the lawsuit mentions an additional rationale behind Emilie’s wish for confidentiality: she prefers not to delve into extensive details about the incident herself, as she has chosen not to examine any of the documents related to the police report, security camera footage, body camera footage, or autopsy reports pertaining to this case.
The filing stated, “The records being asked for likely contain sensitive, troubling, and personal information about Trigg’s death that don’t relate to the government being held accountable. Releasing such details under these circumstances would effectively transform Arizona’s Public Records Law into a means of causing emotional distress, instead of promoting transparency in government.
After the court filing, Maricopa County’s Medical Examiner’s Office issued a statement emphasizing their commitment to respecting the privacy of the mourning couple.
Upon learning that the family was attempting to obtain a court order to halt the disclosure of these records, Jason Berry, the communications director for Maricopa County, informed NBC News on May 29 that the Office of the Medical Examiner collaborated with the family to affix a seal on the record.
