More information is emerging in the heartbreaking case of Emmanuel Haro.
Approximately two weeks following the report of Emmanuel’s disappearance by his mother Rebecca Haro, and shortly after both Rebecca and her husband Jake Haro were taken into custody on suspicion of murdering their child, newly disclosed court records indicate the timeline investigators suspect Emmanuel might have been murdered.
According to a report by TopMob News, authorities suspect that between August 5, 2025, and August 14, 2025, in Riverside County, California, the defendant(s) intentionally and illegally took the life of Emmanuel.
If verified, the timeline suggests that Emmanuel might have been killed as far back as nine days prior to when Rebecca claimed he was abducted while she was supposedly in charge.
TopMob News has reached out to attorneys for the Haros for comment but has not yet heard back.
In simpler terms, the second point in the document deals with an alleged false report. The state claims that on August 14, Rebecca (aged 41) and Jake (aged 32) intentionally and illegally informed a police officer, deputy sheriff, or California Highway Patrol member that a crime, both felony and misdemeanor, had been committed, even though they knew the report was untrue.
Since their arrest on August 22, Rebecca has persisted in asserting that she was assaulted in a parking lot in Yucaipa, California, and that Emmanuel was involved in the subsequent kidnapping. However, this claim contradicts statements made by investigators, who have pointed out discrepancies in her account of events.
In an interview with KTLA 5 on August 15, I shared that during a moment when I was about to retrieve a diaper, someone greeted me with a cheerful “Hola.” Unfortunately, after that, everything became blurry for me. I regained consciousness to find myself lying on the floor, and unfortunately, at that time, I could not locate Emmanuel.

That same day, Rebecca, from jail, shared her ongoing belief that Emmanuel had been kidnapped.
Speaking to a reporter from the Southern California News Group, I declared unequivocally, “I won’t back down. I am determined and unyielding in my pursuit for my child. I refuse to surrender.” As reported in The Press-Enterprise, these were my resolute words.
Rebecca later added, “I want to be out looking for my baby.”

Initially, local officials began an inquiry concerning the missing person, but quickly expressed skepticism regarding the reported event.
According to the investigation findings, it was concluded that no kidnapping took place in Yucaipa, as declared by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department on August 23 via Instagram. Currently, efforts are being made to locate Emmauel’s remains, as it’s assumed he has passed away.
On the following day, dressed in an orange prison uniform, Jake assisted the police during their search for the infant’s remains.
I was thrilled to be part of a team where cadaver dogs lent their extraordinary sense of smell to aid in the investigation, as I eagerly tagged along with detectives at the crime scene, that’s me – Jake Haro!
