ITV has made an announcement regarding schedule adjustments for the popular shows Coronation Street and Emmerdale. As a result, these soap operas will be momentarily suspended during the upcoming week.
On ITV1, both series tend to follow a consistent weekly pattern, with Coronation Street broadcasting an hour-long episode every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8 o’clock in the evening, while Emmerdale is typically shown during weekdays at 7:30 PM.
Instead of Emmerdale airing during its regular timeslot on Tuesday, 9th September, ITV will broadcast the FIFA World Cup qualifier game between England and Serbia instead.
The soccer game begins at 7:45 PM. Television coverage starts at 7 PM on ITV and continues till 10 PM. After the game, ITV News at Ten will air, lasting until 10:35 PM.
Emmerdale is set to make its comeback in its usual slot on Wednesday night.
Instead, Coronation Street enthusiasts must hold on a bit longer as the show won’t air on that particular day.
As a devoted cinephile, I’m thrilled to share some scheduling adjustments! On Wednesday evening, the National Television Awards will be broadcast, following Emmerdale and filling the time slot from 8 PM to 10:30 PM. I can hardly wait!
Coronation Street will return to our screens on Friday in its usual slot at 8pm.
On Mondays, both soap operas provided thrilling storylines. In Emmerdale, Aaron Dingle (played by Danny Miller) discovered the truth about his malicious spouse John Sugden (portrayed by Oliver Farnsworth).
Simultaneously on the cobblestones, Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers), a character from Coronation Street, was taken aback when her former spouse Becky (Amy Cudden) unexpectedly reappeared in her life, many years after being informed that she had passed away.
