Emmerdale star Chris Coghill has confirmed his final scenes as Kev Townsend have already aired.
He first left in November after threatening Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle with a sword. Kev then understood that Robert and Aaron were deeply connected and he had no chance of rekindling his relationship with Robert.

The character reappeared on screen during the Christmas and New Year holidays, leading to a dramatic confrontation with the villainous John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth). As fans will remember, John is desperate to reunite with Aaron and previously instructed Kev to both kill Robert and then commit suicide.
Kev didn’t go through with his plan, but instead, he told Aaron what was happening. He then went to see his son, Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches), one last time. However, Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) intervened, worried that Lewis would be deeply upset if he found out Kev was his father.

Consumed by sadness, Kev wandered off into the night.
Coghill posted a video clip from the show on Instagram, simply writing: “Okay, coming up on Emmerdale. It’s been a real pleasure.”
“Thanks for all the love for Kev.”

Miller jokingly threatened to start a petition, expressing sadness with an emoji. Riches simply wrote a heartfelt message, saying “MISS YOU DAD XX.”
The official Emmerdale account shared a touching message, simply saying, “Miss you already.”
Will we see Kev back one day?
