Things have gone from bad to worse for Cain Dingle in Emmerdale, as he’s now been involved in a car accident.
Cain Dingle is battling an aggressive, but contained, form of prostate cancer and will soon have surgery to remove it. Meanwhile, his wife, Moira, is facing a possible life sentence in prison. She’s been accused of human trafficking after the bodies of two people were discovered on their farm, Butler’s Farm.
As fans will recall, Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) previously set her up, while he was being threatened by Joe Tate (Ned Porteous). As a result, Cain had to leave his home at Butler’s.
After discovering how sick her husband was, Moira transferred ownership of the farm to the Tate family, hoping he could rest and focus on getting better. While she’s been away, Cain has continued his feud with Joe and has even begun a new farming project at Wishing Well Cottage.
Moira and her husband had a short reunion this week when Moira visited Hotten General Hospital for a scheduled MRI. Doctor Liam Cavanagh secretly arranged for them to have some private time together, and they were able to meet without being noticed by the guard waiting outside.

Despite feeling hopeful about her upcoming trial after a positive encounter, Moira is now worried. While talking to Cain, she suddenly heard a loud noise and the phone line went silent.
He’d been hit by a car.
But who was responsible? The ITV soap has lined up three potential suspects…
Who hit Cain Dingle with their car in Emmerdale? Suspects revealed
1. Kerry Pollard

Kerry Pollard (Laura Norton) has had a dramatic week. Her secret relationship with Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) has come to light, leaving her husband, Eric (Chris Chittell), heartbroken.
Eric and Kerry’s marriage was just a pretense, created so Eric could secretly transfer money to his grandson, Jacob Sugden. However, Eric unexpectedly began to fall in love with Kerry.
Even though he didn’t fully trust her, he purchased a device to notify her if his Parkinson’s medication caused any problems. When he found out Kerry and Jai were together, he used the device to call her back home.

Kerry realized Eric seemed to know all her secrets and, upset by this, asked for a divorce. She informed him she was leaving and starting a new life, which left him heartbroken.
After the emotional conversation, she jumped into her car.
2. Graham Foster

Graham Foster is devastated after his former girlfriend, Rhona Goskirk, decided to remain with her husband, Marlon Dingle, instead of getting back together with him.
She told Marlon that her feelings for Graham stemmed from never truly getting over the news of his supposed death six years earlier. She hadn’t been able to find closure.
Marlon apologized to Graham at the cafe, but it was obvious Graham just wanted to move on and forget about opening up to Rhona.
Okay, so it turns out Joe didn’t answer a call, and then, just before everything went down with Cain, he actually got in his car. It’s like he was right there, involved in the moments leading up to it all, which is really unsettling to think about.
3. Jacob Sugden

Jacob had a very difficult day at work. He disregarded a patient’s wishes to not be resuscitated and performed CPR anyway.
The patient turned out to be Dr. Todd (Caroline Harker)’s father, who is seriously ill with dementia. He’d made the agreement while he was still mentally capable. Dr. Todd wasn’t there when he had a heart attack and was very angry that Jacob had acted on his own initiative regarding his wishes.
Even though he was exhausted and wanted to fix things, he made a serious mistake.
At the conclusion of his shift, he prepared to drive home.
But has the turmoil of the day taken its toll?
