In the upcoming episode of Emmerdale on the 15th of August, 2025, John Sugden‘s (Oliver Farnworth) evil plan to undermine his half-brother Robert (Ryan Hawley) will likely lead to a significant blowback.
As a movie reviewer, I’d say:
Diving headfirst into the narrative, I found myself captivated by Victoria’s (Isabel Hodgins) persuasive charm that led me, or rather Robert, to spend an unexpected day with her young son Harry (Adam Pryor). The twist? A chance encounter with Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) at a quaint café, turning what seemed like an ordinary day into an intriguing blend of past and present.
Upon John’s entrance, now being Aaron’s husband, his jealousy becomes palpable enough to potentially stir up significant turmoil. Seizing an opportunity for privacy with Harry, he advises him to create a considerable amount of disturbance at Keeper’s Cottage.
In response to Harry’s drumming, Robert eventually becomes angered and yells at him. However, as soon as John enters the scene, he manages to encourage Harry to rush towards him for consolation.

Robert is deeply affected by recent developments, as they’ve stirred up symptoms related to his Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, which he’s dealt with since being incarcerated for nearly six years.
In simpler terms, if asked about it, we’d say Robert’s reaction was just a sharp remark, yet John still shares his account of what happened with Aaron, even going so far as to exaggerate or distort the truth for added impact.
due to John’s manipulations, Robert could find himself emotionally vulnerable and potentially reconnecting with Aaron.
Hawley hinted at how the romantic entanglement might shape the upcoming portion of the narrative. As John’s decline seems imminent, we find ourselves pondering what events could potentially pave the way for ‘Robron’ to finally prevail.
The actor additionally expressed his enthusiasm regarding his character’s future, saying, “I am truly thrilled about the year we have coming up. At present, I believe the show is doing exceptionally well.
For the upcoming year, the plot development that has been shared with me has piqued my interest and enthusiasm.
