Victoria Sugden is increasingly troubled by her guilt and may act impulsively in Emmerdale, potentially trying to help someone else.
As a long-time Coronation Street fan, I was completely shocked when it was revealed at the start of January that she was the one who killed John – Oliver Farnworth’s character. It all came out in the big finale of that crossover episode, and honestly, it was a huge twist!
She finally stopped his reign of terror, allowing her brother Robert and his former husband Aaron to begin a new chapter in their lives.
Vic didn’t realize anyone had seen what she did. Joe Tate secretly filmed her from the woods, capturing her as she cleaned up and left the area.

He’s been using the video to threaten Robert, forcing him to falsely accuse Moira Dingle of serious crimes – human trafficking and two murders. His goal is to take control of Moira’s share of Butler’s Farm, the land owned by the Sugden family.
With nowhere left to turn, Robert felt compelled to comply to his demands.

The village received the news today that John had died by suicide, but Vic struggled to accept this explanation. She was still facing the difficult task of selling the farm, and she thought about telling Cain Dingle the truth about everything.
Robert urged her to follow through with Joe’s plan, as he was eager to learn how far along the sale negotiations had progressed. Shortly after, Joe threatened that if Robert didn’t place the bid for him, he would continue trying to falsely accuse Moira of wrongdoing.

Vic unexpectedly listened in on a private conversation and then questioned Robert about it. Robert admitted he’d been concealing identification papers related to Celia Daniels’s (Jaye Griffiths) human trafficking ring in Butler’s. He explained he was afraid a video of her murdering John would be given to the police if he did.
Completely shocked by what she learned, she turned herself in to the authorities to protect Moira from being wrongly convicted.
Can Robert talk her out of it?

As a huge soap fan, I’ve always been fascinated by the people who keep us up-to-date on all the drama! That’s why I find Michael Adams’ work at TopMob so great – he really knows his stuff when it comes to all the major soaps, from Coronation Street and EastEnders to Emmerdale and Hollyoaks. Before joining TopMob, he was a soaps reporter at Metro for a couple of years, and even worked on the actual sets of Corrie and Emmerdale! He’s definitely seen it all, and it shows in his reporting.
