The ‘s incredible saga is quickly approaching its ultimate finale.
Hey everyone, just heard some news from New York Comic Con that’s a bit of a bummer. Our favorite *Ultimate Black Panther* comic is wrapping up in 2026 with issue #24. It’s not just *Black Panther* though – a bunch of the *Ultimate* series are ending next year, and apparently, the whole story arc for this universe (Earth-6160) is building towards a seriously huge finale. They even released a cool cover for issue #24 by Stefano Caselli – you can check it out below!

In the final issue of Marvel’s *Ultimate Black Panther* (#24), T’Challa faces off against the Progenitors in a battle for control of Vibranium, Wakanda, and the entire world. The issue will also reveal the importance of the enigmatic “Child of Light” as this epic series comes to an end.
The Black Panther, known as T’Challa, recently appeared in the new Ultimate Universe alongside other Marvel heroes in the 2023 comic *Ultimate Universe* #1, created by Jonathan Hickman and artists Stefano Caselli, David Curiel, and Peach Momoko. The series follows T’Challa and his team, including Storm and Killmonger, as they battle the dangerous Khonshu and his followers. *Ultimate Black Panther* has also introduced a unique new type of Vibranium to the Marvel Universe – one that is actually sentient.
Talking about the end of the Ultimate Universe is tough because it represents the culmination of everything Jonathan Hickman started. All the storylines from my books and everyone else’s are coming together for a huge, emotional finale. It’s going to be impactful, with significant events and character deaths – it’s truly going to be something special.
Marvel’s Dan Buckley explained that fans will be able to experience the entire story – from start to finish – and enjoy it for a long time, sharing it with future generations.
Ultimate Black Panther #24 goes on sale in January 2026 from Marvel Comics.
