Marvel boss Brad Winderbaum has hinted that a new Jessica Jones series might be on the horizon.
It’s been over five years since Krysten Ritter’s show finished on Netflix in June 2019, but she’s reprising her role as the troubled, yet powerful, private investigator in the upcoming second season of Daredevil: Born Again.
The character could reappear in future stories, and Winderbaum recently suggested a possible reboot of the original series in an interview with Phase Hero.
So, I was chatting with Marvel’s Kevin Feige’s right-hand man, Brad Winderbaum, and I had to ask about *Jessica Jones: Born Again*. He didn’t give me a firm date, but he definitely hinted that it’s happening, and maybe even sooner than we’re expecting! It’s not a confirmation, but it’s a really encouraging sign for fans hoping to see Jessica back in action.
Later in the podcast, Ritter discussed her character’s future, hinting at unexplored storylines. She mentioned having conversations with a colleague, Brad, about potential directions for her role.
She added: “And I am not going to say any of it, because we’re going to be doing it.”

In July, Ritter mentioned she would be returning as Jessica Jones for the second season of Daredevil: Born Again.
She expressed her excitement about returning to the role of Jessica, telling ScreenRant that there’s still more to her character’s story and she’s really looking forward to exploring it.
When asked how the Disney Plus show stacked up against the original Jessica Jones, Krysten Ritter said it felt “gritty.”
The second season of Daredevil: Born Again will premiere on Disney Plus in March 2026. It will follow Matt Murdock, played by Charlie Cox, as he gathers a team to fight against Mayor Wilson Fisk, portrayed by Vincent D’Onofrio.
