Epic Games Store is offering a free PC game this week – a title normally costing $60! This is especially good timing, as a sequel to the game was just released in October. If you’re interested, you only have until December 29th to claim it. While these free games usually last a week, Epic Games is giving them away daily during the holiday season.
For the next 24 hours, PC players on the Epic Games Store can download Jurassic World Evolution 2, developed by Frontier Developments in the UK. This game is a follow-up to the 2018 title, Jurassic World Evolution, which itself received a sequel, Jurassic World Evolution 3, last October. All three games combine building and managing a dinosaur park with simulation gameplay.
About the Game
Taking place between the films Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Jurassic World Dominion, Jurassic World Evolution 2 focuses more on letting players creatively build and manage their own Jurassic Park than on delivering a strong narrative. The game received generally positive reviews, with a Metacritic score between 74 and 81, and sold half a million copies in its first two weeks.
In Campaign mode, you’ll become an expert at managing parks in a brand-new story that continues after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. You’ll work with familiar faces like Dr. Ian Malcolm (voiced by Jeff Goldblum) and Claire Dearing (voiced by Bryce Dallas Howard) to try and control the dinosaurs that are now loose and causing chaos across the United States. The game lets you take charge of efforts to conserve and contain these wild animals.
Players can finish the main story of the game in around six hours. Exploring most of the optional side content will take approximately 35 to 40 hours. However, players aiming for 100% completion can expect to spend closer to 100 hours with the game.
